PowerPoint Shortcuts: Ctrl+M & Layout Selection!

CTRL + M is a quick way to create a new slide without touching the mouse, but do you know how to choose certain layouts and other options once you have your new slide? Let’s check out some of the options. If you have any questions, as always, feel free to email us at questions@pbttinfo.com.

1. You can press CTRL + M to immediately create a new slide. It is important to understand, however, that the new slide will, by default, be the same format as the previous slide.

2. Under “Home”, you can change the slide by pressing “Layout” into a number of different layout formats.

3. You can also “Duplicate Selected Slides”, pick “Slides from Outline…”, and “Reuse Slides…”, which will bring up a dialog that will allow you to pick slides you want to use from another presentation.

4. This is called a “Content Slide”. You can choose any one of the shortcut options such as the “Insert Chart” as shown below:
